Bill Griffey IV is following his heart by following in his family’s footprints. “I always thought it would be perfect,” said Bill of joining the Griffey family insurance business, founded by his great grandfather in 1921.

Bill began working at the insurance agency in August of 2016. A graduate of Excelsior Springs High School, he spent a year at KU and began training for becoming an insurance consultant. He is managing Auto and Health insurance premiums with a property and casualty license. Very soon he will be licensed to write Life and Health insurance coverage for clients, as well.

The young bachelor is moving quickly on the business scene, citing being highly motivated as one of his strengths. “I enjoy being able to develop my own schedule and set my own pace,” he said. He’s also glad to have a great support system in the family managed business, another bonus in working as an independent insurance agent and not having to worry about having a quota to meet.

“I look forward to getting out and getting to know more people,” Bill said. He stays active playing basketball, working out and lifting weights when not in the office.

Bill is a member of the Excelsior Springs Chamber of Commerce and looks forward to joining local civic organizations as he makes his own footprints in the Excelsior Springs business community.
